    Damn...
Honestly the good will always perish and the dick heads will survive...
If the S.O.B driver would of died..that would of been cause for celebration in my book.
I hope they coping well now with the loss.

Holy fuck, look at the a-pillar. That is crazy.

As noted, he should do some serious time for this one. Apparently he is looking at 10 years.

I feel sorry for the e30, and for the innocent guy that was killed.

Strangley enough, I work with a guy that got in a drunk driving accident and killed his friend, but he's at work about a month later, not in jail. I don't really wanna bring it up to the guy though to find out what happened...

That said, there's a big difference between driving home at the end of the night in the grey area of probably being legally intoxicated vs. being torn up and stupid. I don't get behind the wheel after anything beyond two beers. It's simply not worth it. I don't condone drunk driving, but I would venture to guess that a lot more people are guity of it(> .08) than realize it.

As for anectdotal evidence, which is pretty meaningless, I watched a good friend blow a .1 to earn a DUI after having three beers. He was dead certain there was no way that he'd be over .08
My real point here is that it's easier to be legally intoxicated than people think.
QFT. willise30 im glad you made that post/point before i did.

this kind of stuff is like when some one wrecks going at high speed. then EVERYBODY jumps on the bandwagon saying "take it to the track" or "i dont drive over the speed limit".

buzzed driving, drunk driving are the same thing if youre past the legal limit of .08 (.o4 if you have a CDL like i do) in most states it is illegal. you can be over a mile per hour and be speeding, and that is a offense that can result in a ticket.

so in that case OOPS i drove drunk AND sped on my way home from a house party friday night. im a bad person now.

then again as Vedubin put it, this is just to let the PNW know that some one wrecked their e30.

Piece of shit. An irresponsible moron took someones life, and fucked up a whole family's. Hopefully he does a good amount of time for that. I've never driven drunk, but for selfish reasons. Im too scared to kill myself lol. Either way, fuck him, thoughts out to the family of the victim.

driving home buzzed and driving home drunk at high speeds are two different things. As I have gotten older have learned to stop way ahead of the time to drive home. I know my limits and will not risk my life or the life of others.

I only posted this because he is from the PNW and was at the last picnic. I figured Id pass the news around.

Just be responsible when drinking. This guy has learned many lessons really fast and it will haunt him for the rest of his life. With a manslaughter charge, looking at many years in jail for simply not knowing when he had too much!

That thread gives me a fucking headache. "Bmw drivers are crazy... blah blah blah"

The reality of life is that most people have driven drunk, at least legally speaking. Having a couple of beers in a short amount of time and getting behind the wheel usually puts you close to if not above .08

I'm not saying that it excuses what this particular moron did. However, I find it amusing that so many people are so quick to chide others for something most of people have done themselves.

That is really too bad. I agree with you guys about how this turned out. My condolences to the family of the man who got killed. Drunk driving is the dumbest thing anyone could do.
