    5 Speed Swap Complete!!!

Finally after a month i got it done and luckily there are only two little problems.
The first is my master cylinder dribbles a little bit due to the fitting being to small but my major issue i have a vibration i think that i was doing just a little over 20. Im thinking its because of the angles of the driveshaft changing from the last car to this car. Has anyone had this problem when they did a 5 speed swap? Sorry i will try and get pics of it complete.

Did you put the drive shaft together correctly? The halves are balanced and need to be assembled correctly for them to be balanced.

Also make sure all of your driveshaft mounting hardware is good and snug.

Make sure the collar holding the two halfs are on is tight. Also is your guibo new? CSB new?

If you used my writeup, any suggestions?

                did you preload the CSB?

I hope it took you a month because you don't have a lot of spare time - it's really not that hard. :p

All you need to do is make sure the u-joints on the driveshaft are allighned with each other. When one is pointing strait up, the other should be as well. The two halfs are ballanced seperatly. The only things that need to be lined up are the two u-joints.

Im thinking that my vibration is coming from the u-joint cause I remember looking at it and wondering. But the ass end of the auto driveshaft is nice and tight so i think im going to try and swap ends and get it balanced.Has anyone try this before. I feel like im going where no man has dared.

Yeah I had this problem after I did my 5 speed swap the bolt's have to be aligned straight or it will cause a vibration around that speed. But after my tranny went out about 2 week's ago I put my new one in and now I have a vibration at all speed's like a bad one so I've got to get it on the lift at work and find out what's going on with it.

had the exact same problem with my five speed swap. just get the shaft aligned and balanced at a shop. They'll tell you if it's bad.
