I'd like to have one for my ring car, but i'm not going to spend that kind of money on a used tranny.

can you fit the E30 M3 dogleg tranny on the M50 motors? i have one of those already...

Mine ran around $700 and it took me a long time to find one.

Depends on condition, mileage and the normal factors. Another - is there is very few shops out there doing rebuilds on these.

Great gear box for a 2002 for a 5 spd conversion. But it needs to be complete. $1300 is not unreasonable for a good condition box with no leaks, and crunchy synchros.

Yes, it has to come complete. To use the tranny you need the unique driveshaft and certain parts of the shift linkage.

I believe that the pressure plate & throw-out bearing are different too.

My friend at one point had two doglegs and was debating whether he wanted the tranny or the money. He decided that the car he had wasnt worthy of a dogleg, and instead of storing one of them he sold them both. Now he regrets it, and told me that if I ever get rid of mine to contact him.

I've had a lot of interest in mine, but to the general E30 population these transmissions arent worth $2500. I got mine dirt cheap, but I still wouldnt sell it for less than $2500, just because it took ~4 years to track one down and I realize how hard to find they are.

They usually sell for ~$500-$1000 when they pop up on the forums.

And the Alpina knob sounds interesting, post up a pic of that.

I've got an old Porsche knob for mine.
ill try to post a pic of the knob later on...i think its pretty cool

Pretty cool like the airdam on the car in your sig?

I really need a proper Euro airdam for my car..

I'll post up pics of the Porsche knob if I get around to it.
