I remember hearing that there were a few 4-door 325is models made by the South African division, but who knows for sure (hence the "illusive" prefix ;)).

and I'll be damned...
It came off the boat with an "is" on the deck-lid.

I never saw one though so it must be really rare (I Was at BMW VPC in the late 80's early 90's)
