Call it rare or not, that's a great price for a late model 325i. Doing a 5spd conversion doesn't cost that much, either.

My 90 325is was an auto up until a month or so ago... had a guy reply to my " FS 90 325is auto tranny post" saying there was no such thing as an auto 325is or at least a '90' 325is auto. Well, there was in my car's case.

Doing a 5spd conversion doesn't cost that much, either.

All US 325is automatics had the 4.10LSD after mid '88 ....before that they all shared the 3.73LSD that came in the 325is 5-spd cars .

So basically 87-88.5 = 3.73LSD and 88.5-91 = 4.10LSD . (although theres not really an 1991 325is)

my car is a 1991 325i but it has every IS option available. I checked my vin at my local dealership and it said that it came with the "Sport Package" but it didnt seam to be an IS. The rear trunk lid had the origional vin sticker on it and has never been re sprayed, yet the badge says 325i with no space left fot the "s" Whats up with this?

It has a full sport interrior, basketweaves, is lip, deck spoiler, is side skirts. It has an auto tranny but no sport shifing selector knob,(idk i saw it in the manual somwhere)

Yes what the Kiwi just said .
There is no US 1991 325is ....although like you found out it was possible to get the "sport package" with all the right options but just no trunk badge .
Also the '91 sport package cars got the factory side skirts .

Did you see what I put in parenthesis in my post ?


PS : Oh and US cars never got the selectable mode auto trans .
