17" centers are the same as the 18" centers.- so i dont really understand why he says it took so long to find the "rare" center sections?

This guy is one insecure little douche, look at his responses to the suggestion that the wheels are just 16" RS'. Reminds me of every other "baller" BMW owner over the years who flaunts their cars endlessly, getting their panties tied up at the slightest discredit to their "status".
