It's not the car that bothers me, I have read his build thread, and I find it interesting. He has some unique ideas. It's newman's obnoxious, "I'm so great, everyone look at me, by the way, you're a bunch of idiots and I hate E30s and E30 owners" attitude that irritates me. His entire reason for posting on this forum is to piss people off, and we don't need that here.
But he's too cool to care what I say, so I think I'll just put him on ignore now.sigpicComment

I read your entire thread on lotusclub and it did change my perspective on some things.. I guess that if I had the tools/money/skill to do what you do, I might do it.
The quality of your metal work seems top notch.. But your out-of-the-box thinking gets slightly rediculous... You could have done some homework before going balls-out hack on it and have a cleaner chassis, but the final results will speak for themselves.
Any word of getting any amenities on there? Heat/electronics/a dash? or will it be a fuhraze machine?

I hope to put in the OEM dash and carpet and some other stuff, but chances are not this year. I want to drive this pig in the summer, which probably means doing the interior NEXT winter. Definitely will have no audio.
The chassis really isn't that bad. I would have stripped the undercoating off of the car on a rotisserie regardless, so the only thing a cleaner shell would have saved me was a week of rust repair... Not a big deal...
As far as doing homework, it wasn't so much about not doing it, it's that initially i was content with leaving the diving board bumpers on there, but the more i looked at them, the more i hated them, and thus it was time to replace.Comment

for the record....regardless of what people say of your chopped up e30...haven't seen last of pics...i think the machining and cad designing is awesome, most people critisizing the looks don't know half of what it takes to get that done.No more e30s for me.
