something about flipping over and the roof folding in just doesnt sit well with me, thats y i would never make myself a cf roof unless i ave a full well built roll cage
seeing as how VIS cant keep tolerences at all in anyway with anything that Ive eseen them make I would NOT want to use them for a sunroof.

I was originally talkin about carbon sunroof panels from the gb but Ill open it up to carbon roofs aswell...any pice of this "mimosa setup?

i dont trust anyone to make stuff for my car. thats y im building it all myself. places like VIS are just out to make money, they arent trying to make the best quality product available. DIY is usually the only way to do something right.

I am anal. Nobody's sale product quality meets my requirements. Compitition Concepts is the closest to rockin' my socks off, but I don't like their prices. Time for Farbin to invest in some mold making adventures. I'm not at liberty to speak on the GB stuff as I did not purchace the parts in the end.

I like parts with passion, not profit margin.

        In fact, I'm using that...

I had a group buy up for c/f sunroofs but I am still waiting for mine so I haven't updated the post. Hopefully the guy gets back from his work trip and he can finish one and then if quality is good I will have him make a few more.

Somebody should make full hard top for the cabbies...I'd be all over that.

$2150.00 + shipping. Now I just need to engineer to the price point, :jk:.

Ouch...that's the only way the hard top could be made more expensive, I guess.

Im looking at getting some more carbon for my car and I was thinking of getting the roof and trunk. Also who else sells carbon e30 parts other than fiberartz.com and markus in the Fatherland.

                  Thanks guys.
I purchased one of the CF trunks from the group buy here and have some issues with it.

                  - Trunk lid showed up damaged. Could have simply been a shipping incident but Eurostop took care of that problem to my satisfaction.

                  - Trunk lid uses all Standard hardware instead of metric. Frustrating but not that big of a deal.

                  - Weave on trunk lid is a little crooked - again, no big deal since it's a race car and it will likely see paint anyway.

                  - Trunk lid does not fit! When mounted on factory hinges it looks really bad. HUGE gap at the front (to high by over 1/2") and the rear angle isn't even close. Put it this way, it makes my VIS hood look GOOD.

Since I am pinning this on a race car I can live with a little misalignment but had this gone on a street car, it would have been returned.

What about MA Shaw or CDOC? I am sure they could make custom pieces for you if your pockets are deep enough.

Where can I get a matching hood, trunk, and sunroof panel?
