          It most definately is. I remember when my aunt bought a 1977 or 1978 model 530i brand new - unfortunately it was a lemon (first year of that particular engine) and it was in the shop a lot.

          The E28 body started around 1982 or 1983 I believe (don't quote me on that).

            Hell if that was local I'd go buy that today. If it runs and drives you can't beat that for $2k.

                  Awesome swap.. great classic BMW look and the V8 rumble of 302ci. Must be a blast to drive.. must be something up with it though if it's selling so cheap.

                    It's an E12 so it might be rusting away around the engine.
