    Starting my Apprenticeship monday...

    Hey guys-
I am starting my BMW Apprenticeship next monday. My dealership has me setup to go to BMW STEP school in January. I am SO EXCITED!! This has been my dream for a few years now and its all comming together just like it should.
Tomorrow is my last day of work in the parts department here at Santa Barbara Auto Group (formerly Cutter Motors- Bimmerfest creator). Thursday and friday I am moving to Elliott's house for the ultimate BMW House expierence.
Monday I will start working with one of the long-time techs at the dealer and soaking up all the info I can while I buy tons of tools to get ready to work the line. I have 6 more classes before I get my A.S. degree for Auto Tech and an AA in Liberal Studies.

I just had to share my excitment with all of you guys.

It’s great to see someone accomplish his or her goals.
You should be very proud of yourself.

    Keep up the good work!

Cool, keep us posted on how it goes. I'm still debating weather I want to do the BMW Step program once I finish in a year with my Associates in Mechanical engineering tech. and Cad/Cam, plus I may be getting and associates degree in Hydrualics while I'm at it(only one extra class).
I keep finding my self voluntering to do work on my friends bimmers for a small fee, like a valve adjsutment on an e34, brake caliper rebuild and brake fluid flush on an eta, and more.

Wait to buy tools when youre in STEP. Cant beat 45% off of Snap-On.

          Warranty work sucks ass. :?

I don't know how your dealer is, but we are BUSY. We are the only BMW dealer for 50+ miles in each direction, so there is plenty of work keeping us from going hungry 8)

That's very good news to hear. I know this has been something you have devoted yourself to for a while now.....and things are just going to get better for you once you get started in the Step program.

Keep focused on your goal. You'll get there before you know it. Especially since you're doing something that you enjoy.

My dealership is slammed too, so theres plenty of work to be done. But youre gonna lose your ass with warranty work 4 out of 5 times. Guaranteed.
