    Prices?

Where can I find the prices for a new is lip and repairing a tear in the leather on a seat? I'm buying a car from a guy and I want to be able to show him prices because he thinks his car is work more than it is. A lot of you guys know the story and I just want to be ready when the guy finally brings the car over.

New iS lip is $150+ from any dealer.

Fixing one section of leather on a seat (replacing it) would prolly cost around $200-250.

Oh ya, 1 more thing. A new cluster. What do those cost? He can't get the dash lights that say brake lining and some of the other ones to turn off. He had new brakes put on it and it still wont turn off. This means it needs a new cluster right?

Cluster? No. SI Board? Perhaps. I'd replace the batteries first. Or check connections.

This guy has no idea what it is so what could I tell him that it "could" be that would be the most expensive?

...now that would be taking advantage of someone's
            ignorance, wouldn't it?

Sounds like you need a new mechanic.

a NEW si-board will run you 200+. I don't even want to know how much a new cluster is.

This guy has been taking forever to get the car over so I could see it when he told me originally it would be no problem. And he thinks the car is worth more than it really is, so I want to be able to explain the offer I give him.

                      It might.

Has he checked the sensors? They might be faulty.

so that board controls the function of all the idiot lights?

anyway to just pull one out of another cluster as a cheap
fix? if not, am i ready that pricing right that once i send back
a core, i've only invested about $115? not bad.

i've got a problem with a brake lining light that won't
turn off and i'd really like to keep my original cluster...

When he brings it over I am going to have my mechanic check it out and just subtract that from the price of the car. I was just wondering if anyone knew what the problem could be. What does it cost if it is the sensors?
