Jesus. $120 for what you can do yourself with 10 minutes and a drill, for free?

Yikes. I almost wish I had thought of that first though, even if he only sells 3-4 sets that's like $500 for a bit of cheap metal tubing! He could make a killing, there are a lot of really f**king dumb people out there.

I don't see why this is so bad, if they put a disclaimer that the bumper will not work in those 5mph bumps anymore as designed. Just because everyone here knows the drill the shock and drive into the Bend Safeway doesn't mean it's a diy that everyone wants to do.

I guess I just don't get the criticism. As for price, look around the FS section. Next to p-cars this marque has more overpriced accessories than any I can think of. Prices are determined by the market, and you should all blame yourselves for making something like that 120$. We're the same group of douchebags that'll pay 200$ for a cupholder, over a 100$ for a piece of plastic hanging from the bumper, that you will hit and break at some point. I'm guilty too. I paid 70$ for a rear view mirror with two underwhelming lights in it. My car buddies that have dsm's and hondas are shocked at even the most basic costs. Control arms 100$ "but they're lemfoerder, and according to the people on r3v, that's worth it" Price should be as high as the market will pay. If this guy is making that on these stupid little brackets, god bless him.

The drill and ram method would take far less work than installing these. And there are indeed enough scams out there to make this one nothing, unless like the subject says, the auction owner is from this site.

I actually thought of this a long long time ago while trying to think of a way to get rid of heavy bumper shocks. I'm surprised it took somebody this long to do it.

Why should the seller be ashamed of themselves? He's trying to earn a living with an idea he came up with. There is absolutely nothing wrong in doing that.

                              ON ANOTHER NOTE

Does tucking your bumpers make them just as crash resistant as the plastics? It seems to me like the diving boards would be much more effective in a crash when left alone.
