I have one on a " i " car and it sounds just like the oem exhaust but a touch louder. But barely noticeable that it is louder, but that might be because I am running shorty headers as well. -
^^^ What Atomic said ^^^
A good friend of mine has had one on his '90 325is for a few years now. Its barely any louder than a stock system. So if you're looking to make some noise, I suggest you look elsewhere. Build quality and fitment seem good.

I also want to hear this exhaust, does it give any different tone than stock, or is it just turning up the volume on the stock exhaust note? I want something with a little more grunt but overall not to noticable on the freeway.Comment

Ive had mine for two years now and it is significantly louder than stock. My car is definitely not quiet at all. It has a slight drone below 2k rpms. I wouldnt say rice-ish but not bmw-ish either. Above 2.5k rpms it makes a glorious sound that always puts a grin on my face. Even when I go S52, the IE exhaust will stay, provided it flows enough air.
As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.Comment

Have installed a couple of them - like the others said a bit louder although that is consistent with the size and the make up of the parts. The fit and finish was good as well.Comment

There are 2 I have seen and none really have good quality.
Thanks in advance.Comment

Are any of you guys running this exhaust still have the stock catylic? I have gone through two of these exhaust's and a friend of mine has gone through one. They sound awesome for about 2 months, then blew and sound like garbage. At first I thought it was a defective exhaust and got it replaced for free minus shipping costs. So my buddy ordered his and both of them blew.We had nothing but bad experiences with these.Maybe because we ran them with headers and no catylic?sigpic
