Want to use e36 m3 master on IX booster, anyone have IX Master out of car to compare?

    Hey guys,
    I am 5 lugging and s52'ing my 89 vert.

I grabbed an IX booster at the junkyard a long time ago in anticipation for some day doing a 24v swap, and didn't realize the master was different so I left it.
If you aren't familar like I wasn't the 2 bolts for the IX booster are diagonal, and the rwd cars are above and below.

Today I stripped a 98 m3 and noticed the bolt pattern looked similar to the IX booster, so I brought it home and voila it fits perfectly.

The problem is, as you'll see in the pictures the plunger where the booster hits the master goes in much further. If anyone has a 325ix booster could you take a look at these pics and let me know if the part of the master that slips inside the booster looks to have the same dimensions? I put a regular e30 325i master next to the e36 one for reference. It goes into the master fine and doesn't seem to be touching the plunger at rest or maybe just barely, can't feel it..

Also if anyone has an answer and knows of any other issues that make this swap not work I'd appreciate it for sure. The hard lines are a little bit off but I think I'll be able to finagle them. I don't know how this master will compare for braking power/pedal travel but I know e36 guys upgrade to it, and i'll be using e36 m3 front brakes so it should be perfectly matched I imagine.

Also I'll include one pic of the label on the master. This came out of a 92 325is that was converted top to bottom with 98 m3 parts. So it's feasible for the master to be from a 92 325is or a 98 m3, I can't make sense of the part # on the part, if anyone can shed some light and confirm which master it is that'd be awesome.

Thanks if anyone can shed some light on this:

FYI the E34 M5 MC is a direct bolt on as well

the E36 MC looks like it will fit, but it's hard to tell.
