I about hit a deer tonight coming home in my e30. That would of been deer #6 if i would of hit it. So when i desided to go back out and about i took my S-15.
In NH at least its the cat/dog owners responsibility to pay for the damages to your car if you hit their animal. On the same note you have to be a pretty big asshole/have no soul to go up to the family afterwards and try to make it happen.
I would. ;) Nah...but I guess it depends on the damage! I ran over a cat once. Don't get me wrong, I felt bad, but it was f-in stupid to run faster. I smashed it with both left tires. I tried to go around it!
I've dodged rabbits and cats in my car though, it would f-up me front spoiler and disintegrate my wanna-be rieger lip! LOL
I see the fucking cat in the opposite lane and decides to jump in front of my car. I felt him roll under my car so I pulled over quickly to check the damage. The bottom of my bumper on the driver side fell off, and its cracked underneath the foglight kinda...
...It could have been way worse though. It could have taken the bumper underneath my car and it would have been history. So I'm thankful but I'm still pretty pissed...
I haven't seen a dear in like 10 months. They usually don't venture out onto the island. That would be so cool though. A super small bread of Island Dear.
Sorry to hear about the cat. Like they said, you car can be fixed... It doesn't look that bad anyway.
Nope, I'm lucky, and its going to the shop Monday anyway to get fixed.
Yesterday I reinstalled the bumper with a friend, and uhhh... Lukas installed it pretty ghetto, it was only attatched on the sides, so I got some bolts and reattatched the entire bumper so now it almost looks better than before I hit the cat.
And if you guys think I dont give a flying fuck that the cat is dead, than you're wrong. I was upset at the time when I made this thread, but I've always felt bad for killing the cat, I didnt think I had to post my feelings about the cat being dead.

I know what you mean, a few months ago I had a deer jump out in front of me on the turnpike! Cruising along at 80mph, that would have been ugly if I had hit it.
Either way mang, I'm glad you didn't end up with more damage.
It faired better then the S-10 blazer that i had. A tree fell on me when i was going down the road at around 45mph. Good thing the tree was half rotted. Plus i think that blazer had a curse on it. With me and the 2 or 3 deer that i hit in it along with the tree falling on me. I sold it and the guy who bought it hit 4 deer at once with it! This is one of the few downsides to living in the country.
Poor cat. A car is just a car and can be fixed- the cat was a living animal and probably someones pet. You're a jerk for bitching out the cat when you did more damage to it than it did to you.
DIAF.
Natural selection for the cat not being smart enough to stay out of the road.
