The M42 is such a great little motor and they go for pennies.
Not that I care, of course.

Ok, just got home from the test drive, guy was firm at 1300. Didn't bring the car home as I'm having 2nd thoughts about the 4dr sedan vs the 2dr. the m42 power plant is nice, not as powerful as the m20 but certainly not a sluggish motor, I think I can live with it. Car had the srs light blinking the whole time, one of the wipers isn't working, the rear passenger window isn't working also, car needs a paint job and new tires.

Do you guys still think its worth what he's asking for?

                    I'd much rather have a 318i than a 325ix

but then again I don't live in the rockies

That guy doesnt know what he's talking about 2.3l M42. $1500 does sound like a fair price if the car is in good condition.
