          Charlie, seems that it's agreeded upon about the Toyo's T1S. I will be getting these for fast road for next spring. The Kumho's aren't really that bad. For normal usage, just wet weather could be better. I run snows in the winter so I need only a three season tire.

          I was thinking about getting some Victo Racers for track events as I have had good luck with those when I used to run autocross all the time.

            It's 7.5" wide. I don't have any close ups, sorry. This picture shows the tire ok though:

              Dunlop SP9000 225/45-16

              Great tires IMO, very good traction in the wet and dry.

                On the M3 I have Yoko AVS ES 100s and I love them. Hands down the best tire I've had the pleasure of driving on (except RA-1s, but those dont fit in here :twisted: ) They are pretty good in the rain too, I can go WOT in 1st gear with almost no slippage.

                On the 325iS I have Dunlop SP Sport A2s; they blow. They have more grip than most regular all season tires, but too much sidewall flex for enthusiastic driving. They are scary in the rain too.

                  I've had Yokohama AVS es100 225/45-16s for a little over 3 months. Awesome in general. Dry and wet traction are both great, braking is good, too. Finding ice with them is real easy, because as soon as you touch it you go all over the place. They're a little loud, but not too much. You definitely get a lot of performance for their price. It's really hard to lose traction with them on dry pavement.

                  The tires that came with my car were Pirelli P8000 195/60-15s - and they sucked. They were only good for doing donuts and makings LOTS of white tire smoke. I don't even think Pirelli makes them anymore... fine by me.

                    205/50/15 Falken Azenis. They suck in large puddles, not bad in light rain, and wouldn't even attempt to use them in the snow. But for dry weather, they're awesome.

                      Have you tracked those yet?

                      I can get my 195/14/60 azeni's greasy on an autox course after 2 50 second runs, I'm a little wary to see what they would do on an open track.

                      I'd love to see these rumored 225/50/14's show their heads.

                        I've actually found the Azenis to be a good track tire. Although I can understand why they would become greasy durign an auto-crossing, given the rapid heat build-up vs tracks. You'd need to be on a pretty twisty road course to get them to an equivalen temp that fast. I typically don't feel them start to fade until late in the day on hot days. In moderate temps, they withstand driving schools well. Wouldn't want them on my race car but they're great for driving schools. I'll be moving to R compounds next year so I'll let you know how substantial the difference is.

                          Review in words: These tires are very very sticky. As a candidate who went from worn out no namers to this tire I am in paradise...Granted they are 280 treadwear...they are grippy and I can see them lasting about a year. I got them last nite...drove with them in the rain and they were not as slick as I thought. Speeds on my favorite ramps have increased noticeably and the car doesn't start to slide as early. I am still adjusting to them..feel free to PM me later on for long term review.

                          These were my $ for the buck tires and I had driven on a borrowed pair of them at an auto-x which is how I was won over.
