    Should I??? 88 735i 100k purrs

Found a 88 735i with 100k and it purrs but the trany wont engage and they are asking for 400 for the motor and 700 for the whole car.

What is this car worth and what is the 3.5 worth?

Is there an easy fix that you know of to get the trany to engage?

    Thanks for your comments.

Sorry no pics will take tomorrow.

if you have a lot of money and a good shop to take it to for the transmission replacement, that is a really great car to drive
Not that I care, of course.

400 is a great price, I can get you motor mounts for the swap for $320 shipped.

OR, if you want to put the car back together, I have a rebuilt 4HP22EH trans for $750 with the torque converter.

        5-speed.

        Done.

EDIT: If the tranny wont engage, it could be something as simple as a broken selector rod or something like that. It may end up being an easy fix.

Spraybombed M30? Hmm, I'd have to see it to make a decision.
