91 or 93, whichever you can get. Obviously the higher the better. MarkD programs his chips according to your engine and what gas is available to you. He can even program a custom chip for you.

nice , i think we only have 91 gas here, so i think i have to contact him about that.
OP I posted in your other thread not seeing you had one specifically asking about chips, recommending you get a chip. I recommend an ebay clone chip. Mine works fantastic. as far as wether or not to do it... you already did a diff swap and are planning roll cage and stuff, this will be the most lucrative investment you make in your eta. 500rpm can go a long way, nevermind the power and torque gains. with those 2 aspects combined, it really is night and day between an eta chipped and unchipped. A chip regardless of manufacturer is a must for a performance minded eta driver. Unless you get a 93octane markd chip they all run 91+. Sadly for me most places around dfw have only 87 89 and 93, with only 1 gas station I trust to get decent gas from (7-11 across from QT at preston and spring creek) having 87 88 89 91 and 93 (wtf right?) which at 3.70 a gallon for 93, I usually go there. I filled up on 93 today for over almost 50 dollars... it hurt bad.
You have a 4.10 diff.... see my post in your other thread for more info on this, but adly this means you won't have an easy reference to the effect of eta chipping. Stock an eta does 0-55 in first and second, chipped it does 0-62 in first and second. Those are on 2.93 diffs. What that means is a way faster 0-60 just by eliminating a shift. That makes an eta 0-60 about even pace with an is, and going to a 3.25lsd... that lets you be about even with an is overall (although having driven and ridden in both, I prefer the chipped 3.25lsd eta to the miller maf/chipped is in all regards).
hey guys , took the leap today and bought the turner chip, they burned it while i waited , 208 with tax, put it in when i got back to work, then filled up on the 93 and took a spin , very happy i got it, not a huge increase in power but it sure did wake it right up, also the extra rpm does help out, thanks for all the help.

Hmm...that's interesting you say 'not a huge increase in power.' I got an eBay chip and it made a huge difference. I had the stock chip in it for troubleshooting and couldn't drive like that anymore.
ya not huge, but i doubt an ebay copy would be any better, my eta has other upgrades though , including a aprox. 300 to 400 weight loss advantage and a updated diff, which by the way found out today is a 3.73 not a 4.10. mulholland your sorry for the confusion , its a 3.73 just counted the rotations lol.

That was exactly my point, that an ebay chip couldn't be better. Maybe I'm used to a chip not making as big of a difference. Only other car I put a chip in was my Corrado, and it was 'meh'. Who knows....
oh ya one more thing, i wonder if my catless exhaust with a free flow exhaust would hinder my performance on an eta?????
Well....I pulled the big muffler off because it was rusting and had only the resonator and piping going out the back for a while, definitely not a decrease in performance. (judging by butt dyno) But...I still had a cat...hmm...
