Let die or let live? ;-[

Well my car died tonight on an overpass at about approx. 11:48 pm or so on June 6th..

I was driving a friend home and i heard this loud clunk so of course road is empty im the only one on the road so i kinda slow down to see whatt the hell it was. To see what i hit well nothing so i accelrate...nothing happens, car revs..speedo goes haywire.

It finally happened the day had finally arrived and at the worst time. so luckily it was a hill that i was gonna go down so i had my friend push the car as hard as she could (me helping of course heh) and then let it roll (with me in the car) down the hill up a hill into a parking spot where it now stays the night.

Now i do not know what to do. I just started a new job working full time and do not get my first paycheck till this friday. Parents are selling an old car of theres and refuses to let me drive it for a week while my car is down.

I am unsure what to do now. should i invest more money and more time into this car that i will be selling in a few months or should i fix it and drive it for a year and actually save my money for a nicer E30?

I am lost on what i want to do. i am already kicking myself abotu investing all the money and time i already have and yet it doesnt look the way i want it to.

at this point i kind of just want to fix it and sell it off but then i see that not being wise.

its 1:30 am and i am beat. excuse me if none of this makes sense.

    -Ryan

if i didnt mention before my transmission went out and no not even reverse works if it i did haha i would have reversed down the road into a parking spot. Im not kidding yea so what the road was empty and the parking lot wasnt even a mile away i could have walked to it.

    So you need a tranny?

That's not THAT expensive, and I know you can do it yourself!

Fix it and drive it for a while, then sell the bitch.

Good luck in which ever way you choose. And break out your bicycle and start pumping to and from work. You would be surprised to see how much weight you loose from just minor daily exercise. Good for all of us.

            Here's a few options:

            - Take a picture of it as it sits, put it on ebay. Buy another E30/E36/etc. There's alot out there. But if you're on a timeline, you might not find one in time.

            - Buy a beater car (accord, civic, etc.) that will be reliable and cheap. Use your 325 as a project car.

Gut it and part it. For $300, it isn't worth fixing. Part out your car and sell the two shells to a local scrap yard for metal. Then use the money to buy another e30 and transplant your interior.

Ryan, you seriously should part it out and buy a 325i.

You know you're always going on about this and that going wrong with your car, and how you don't like so much stuff about it. I'm sure you could make AT LEAST $1000 - 1500 parting it out.

                              :stupid:

We both know your car isn't worth fixing. Part it out (everything except for your mint interior), and buy a nice late-model one and swap the interior.
