    I MISS MY CAR!!!!!!!!

It has been nearly 3, that is THREE!!! months since my accident. No I was not seriously hurt. The bimmer however, was. It is being called a total loss @ $4700 by my insurance. BUT, since I was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler, I and my attorney are holding out for them to pay up. They of course, are balking. So, we are at a point now where it looks as though we are going to have to file suit. I do NOT want to endure any more of this crap, but what am I gonna do? I want my F'n car back sooo badly. I miss drivin. Hell, I haven't even been here @ R3V much since the wreck. It took a lot out of me. I don't really know any of you guys, but I sure miss hangin out with ya'. I miss doing bimmer-stuff with my buddy Eric. I just miss doing bimmer-stuff period! I just hope that we can resolve this soon and get my car back on the road. Yes, I am going to keep her even with a salvage title, I mean, 14 years old, and 198K miles. What difference? One of the hardest things is driving up to the house and seeing her wasting away in the backyard. Awful!! Man, you guys with your cars, cherish them. Love them. Drive them. Wash them. Appreciate them for what they are. I know you do, just don't take them for granted. One day, they could be gone. Anyway, I just had to get that off my chest. Hopefully, it won't be another 3 months before we're rollin'. Til then...

part it out if it's unfixable. Your car was beautiful...sorry to hear about the wreck. Best of luck to you in your next car purchase.

Well due to the mileage and year, it is being called a total loss. The damage is bad yes, but definitely fixable. So, that is what I will do. Thanks.

I feel your pain. I had a 72 Tii in the 80s it had 47k orig was like new! Then a jerk ran a red & that was that. I hope they pay up & let you get on with your life.

I am sure your lawyer has used the pain & suffering card but I have to say tell them you'll settle now for whatever your needs are OR they can go to court & pay much more!!! If a freaking semi rearended you you are golden it's always the rear enders fault & "professional" drivers are held to a higher standard.

        Good luck!

Its been a week and half since my clutch gave out. I just put my car in the shop yesterday. I really miss my car.
Me: "I can't wait to redline my car!"
Mark: "Didn't you just break a rocker arm?"
Me: "Yeah, I don't think I've learned my lesson."
          Mark: "You never will."

Man - when I was looking for a black e30 to buy, I'd always look at a photo of your car and wish it was mine....

Last month i had both of my cars at a repair shop, one was a 83 Porsche 944 that i had owned for a couple years and the other one was an 87 325i cabrio that i had just transfered titile on that day when a dump truck decided that the shop was a lovely place to park at 40 some odd miles an hour. It ended up hitting 14 cars including both of mine. The Porsche was a complete loss, not a straight panel left on the car. And the bimmer only got dinged but it has taken 6 weeks to get the damage repaired properly, i finally get it back tomorrow. On the bright side the check for the 944 was for 1200 more than i paid for it

Nice car. I love the silver/grays and the black interiors. I wish mine had a black interior. You should get the Ronals while they are still available. They are so close to the factory basketweaves, but have a bit more kick to 'em, imo. Anyway, you got a nice one.
