Went with an older guy who i work with who is a bmwcca member (I will be soon) to the BMW dealership you got to pick between a few cars to drive and i of coarse chose the M3. It is a great car and even knowing that is would outperform just about any e30 It still didn't have the agility and feel that i enjoy with the E30's. The clutch pedal was ridiculously soft for my liking. The brakes were fuckin amazing, i about put my passenger through the windshield 4 times cause the brakes are so sensitive compared to my car. I though the position of the shifter was kinda far back and away from the drivers seat. Seemed like if i wanbed to put it in 6th the center console would block my wrist. Anyway it was a good expirience as a 18 year old getting to drive a +$60k car. Sadly most the driving was residential so i really didn't get to take any good turns.

very odd. how deep into the brakes were you getting? i have had nothing but problems with severe brake fade under heavy load, as well as some of my clients. IMO these are the worst brakes on any BMW in a long time. People are actually swapping the 135i brakes over to the M3. Don't know if it helps, but it does look better. Not that it means a damn thing when it comes to stopping.
