Scam. Let's see how it works in a controlled test environment.
If you tell someone that they will get better mileage by using additive "X", they will subconsciously change their driving habits and will probably end up getting slightly better mileage, especially after they've spent $80.00 or so on the additive.
Let's take two new, identical cars, put them both on Dyno's - one treated and one not treated and run them at the same speed, RPM, etc...over several tanks of gas and see the results.
Why don't they do the above test and have the results verified by an independent 3rd party?
Companies like Ethos never does any type of this controlled testing, they instead cherry-pick favorable testimonials and favorable results while excluding the one's that aren't.
It's known as "lying by omission"
Google the term "Ethos FR scam" and you'll see that not every one thinks its so great, and the one's who do are the people selling it.
