    Damn strut housing nut

    This is now the 3rd time that my strut nut is coming loose. I used the bilstein tool last time to tighten it, and we even put some lock-tite on the internal thread and torqued the crap out of it with a pipe wrench too!

    Why the hell won't it stay put ? Are these one type use only???

    a tack weld will hold it in place. then hit it with the grinder to remove at a latter date.

      interesting. I just put some Bilsteins in mine and 2 weeks later, I heard loud bangs comming from my right front. I tighted up the gland nut and alls good.

      Easy fix but is this gonna be recurring problem? Anybody else?

        I've been running Bilstein sports for a few years now - never once had this issue surface.
