just installed mine with a totally rebuilt shift linkage, and by golly it feels soooooooo nice.

its really short and quite notchy, i love it though, i like having a positive shift knowing its in gear then. yah it cost me around $80 usd, but i live in canada and had to get everything from the dealer, because otherwise duties are to much import the parts.
but i suggest you order all the parts refering to the faq from
