if you're painting it yourself just do yourself a favor and paint the car white. It's hard to fuck up white. An old man with Cerebal Palsy cold make a damn nice 15foot paintjob in white. I wouldn't go near black and red without a full paint booth/shop at my disposal because that's a lot of money on paint for a shitty outcome usually when you do the at home work on a full respray in those colors.
But white... you could media blast the car down, primer it, and paint it white with paint rollers and 1 foot wide brushes, and it would still look decent.
If you're feeling adventuous, you should primer it and do like a 16 layer sponge paint camo job, then roll pitch black bottle caps. Uhhhhhnnnnn, gangsta shit.
