VW people and people who work on their cars. Most newer bimmer owners don't work on their cars at all and don't have the appreciation for it. They just want to have the coolest gadgets, newest tuning, biggest sc, most cf, and the dopest rims.... also the coolest system. Those owners don't have the time to look at my e30, nor would they even know what they were looking at. That is of course, ok by me.

+1 ; I don't get compliments from newer BMW owners other than, "oh cool, you drive a BMW too? what year?" and after mentioning my year, that's when I see a different look in their faces pertaining to haughtiness... I met a lot of cool people there, but majority of the cool peeps were 2002, e21, e28 and e30 owners while many of the other bmw owners (e36 and above) gave me an arrogant look when I complimented their rides or what not (maybe it was my Filipino straw hat that killed it, idk...). However, I did notice that many of these people that gave me an arrogant look either had eyes that can be blind folded with a dental floss or simply has very large noses, :nice:, but that's just based on my observation

As long as I get to see this:

and holla at someone like this:

then I HAD FUN! the only thing is, I forgot to get phone numbers 'cuz I was so fixated in many of the tight ass rides rather than focusing on the tight ASSes.(period).

other than that, the other part of my FUN day at bimmerfest was trying to sell these wheels:

As a first and second year attendee we brought our built M20 2002 and one of the rarest BMW's ever built ( a 2002 voll cabrio - 1/200) we were not there to have people tell us how great we were for bringing the cars.

The second year we did not even park in the lot. It is not about the attention that our car brings - it is about the comraderie and the time shared with our friends and DRIVING the cars that brings the smiles per mile. The thing that was missed was rolling with Adam and Ian on the drive down and back. Maybe next year? If not we will be having many a mini "bimmerfest/E30 Fest" around here. :D

Joe funk stopped by the shop BOTH before and after the fest to hang with our buds here. THAT was what it was about. Joe graciously let me drive his 335iS and he got to drive the cabrio. We will be building 335's for Adam, Ian and I after that!

If someone has never organized an event they have no clue to the thankless hours it requires to do so. So ya'll can bitch to your hearts content, just remember that until you step up to the plate and take your best swing, all it shows is a bunch of whiney bench warmers.

But then again, so what. Pay the 20 bucks for coming in after 9 and then come in with a good attitude. So what to there being a lot of e46's and e90's. To me, they are cool cars as long as I'm not driving one.

Turner motosports guy came over to the e30 section, ireland was there and some other e30 vendors and that was cool enough. Driving an e30 doesn't give us the right to some seniority privileges and ricers should just be ignored from the start anways so whats the problem?
    Well said Adam

I left to get lunch and when I came back the guy at the entrance was trying to charge me again even though I still had my ticket. I told him I would just turn around and leave because I wasn't going to pay another twenty bucks but thankfully there were some cooler guys working a little bit further who told me to just ignore him and park.

Shoulda introduced yourself. There are several people that I know were there but didn't get around to meeting. Mostly because I was hanging out with people I already knew but was getting introduced to some new faces. Not all of those that I thought I wanted to be though. I had the brown cords and grey race m3 design shirt on. And a very burnt face :X

The only thing that left me feeling cheated was that I didn't get to participate in the fun at the E30 trailer!! I walked over there hoping that I'd recognize someone, but I didn't know who anybody was, and they all looked so busy eating and having fun. Oh well. :(

I did meet DEV0 E30 and his digicamo car (which is awesome in person, by the way), and he didn't have a pen. Don't worry, some dude with a Civic loaned me his pen, then he walked into me while I was crouching, writing a note on a business card which I left in a really nice red E30 cabrio. If you are the owner of that cabrio, e-mail me, dangit!

Wow, this post is all over the place.
