seems promising, can't tell much from the pics though. Cars look good wet and he didn't give a pic of the only seat that falls apart - the driver seat.
Gotta see it in person and set aside money for timing chain and cooling maintenance.'74 2002 - Build blog at

Bump for a few more finds.
Worth checking out, even though new(included) brakes need to be installed? Its an ix too ;) Im going to check this one out today. How much on average at a fair mechanic does it cost to have new brakes installed?

Bump. The guy never responded and wont return calls.
I found another iX though. http://longisland.craigslist.org/car/702388752.html
I called the guy and he was very nice. He explained in detail everything about the car. He noted that there is front grill/bumper damage and one headlight is out from when he bumped into a grass knoll. Also the radiator was pushed back and got messed up. He told me to call the auto shop hes been going to for 18 years (www.littlegarage.com) and he will explain the damage and the cost to fix it, or I can do it myself. Everything else about the car seems great. Hopefully the damage isnt too bad, and I can take it off his hands.Comment

how does one "bump a grass knoll" (sounds fluffy right?) and break the headlight, bumper, grill, and front cross member that the rad is attached to... ? Now he's selling it without fixing it.
Sounds like he "hit an embankment" to me and the costs outweigh the value of the car.'74 2002 - Build blog at

Bump.
Since I cant find any good, reliable cars here in NY, do you think it would be worth it to browse ebay, and have one shipped. Obviously first having it checked out by a local (possibly from this forum?). I was looking at this:
Plus about 600 dollars for the cheapest shipping method. Looks like a nice car in and out. Anyone know the car, or the owner by some stroke of luck?Comment
