WOW! this looks exciting! bon voyage!
- laptop computer and buy a mobile broadband card for 3 months or 6 months service, so you can at least stay online while travelling. also, this way you can contact the closest R3V or BMWCCA member whether you post online or you get their phone numbers online and call them by phone. moreover, it'll be cool if you can take photos and videos of every stop you guys go through and document it by posting your road trip experience on r3v as you travel to WA, so we know how you are doing and none of us gets worried.
- portable dvd player just in case you end up sleeping in your car
- blankets just in case your heater fails at night
- bug spray
- roof rack, so you can put some of the stuff that don't fit in your trunk on the top of your car
- lots of extra panties
seguro de viagem!

Looking forward to seeing you guys at the Picnic!
I did a lap of the country in the early 90's (from Seattle to the Keys). Covered 7000 miles. I carried 1 gallon of gas in the trunk. Twice on the trip I had to use it and boy was I glad I had it in the middle of freaking nowhere. I won't bore you with the details.
I bought a radar detector then returned it after the trip for a full refund.Lance Richert '88 M3, #35 PRO3, i3 etc.

^ I might leave a day or two earlier just for that reason. One of my good friends from High School moved to Norcross, GA and I would like to chill with him for a day or two.
