    Bavarian Autosport Exhaust

Is anyone familiar with Bavarian Autosport's TRI-FLO exhaust?...I was interested in getting a performance exhaust and I was planning on buying the remus sport exhaust but then came across the TRI-FLO exhaust from Bavauto and was wondering if anyone had any idea of how good or bad the exhaust may be.....

It is one of the loudest exhausts you can get.

All true. A friend of mine has a Tri-Flo on his '87 325is. It does sound loud....a bit louder than my Stromung....but it sure turns heads. He picked his up used, I think for around $400-$450. The cost of a new one is just too steep IMHO. Build quality of the Tri-Flo is ok.....but not great. I've heard a few stories of these systems showing signs of age after a couple of years of use. Comparing it to my cat-back, the Stromung has better construction details such as the welds and overall product finish.

i would have to agree that the Stromung is a better option...

i love mine...aggressive sound without the drone...

What are you looking for? loud? or quiet? Remus is built in Swizterland and has the strictest dB pollution laws. No louder than 85 dB at full throttle at 100 ft I believe was the standard. Tri-Flow will set of car alarms at 100 ft in parking garages. They also sell Stebro correct?

I have a Remus I like it, it has a decent sound but I can drive all day with out getting a headache or annoying traffic with drone.

This place seems to have the best price on a new Stromung cat-back for the E30.

I have Tri-Flo on my car. It is loud and sounds great! So far I have set one car alarm off. The price for the muffler brand new is outrageous, that's why I got mine used. I haven't seen any other mufflers so I couldn't compare build quailty, but it seems pretty good. If you can find one for under 500 dollars, I say get it.

Almost went for a Tri-Flo as well, but opted for the Scorpion at Bavauto's. I love it so far as it sounds deep on hard throttles, but you can still hear your stereo while cruising on the expressway. Paid $530 for the Scorpion, which is kinda steep, but no where near the Tri-flow.

I was going to mention the scorpion too. That is the one im getting next. Also if you want one that is a little quieter but still sounds realy good.Try the Ansa. That is what i have on my 325is now and i love the way it sounds. :P

The Ansa will rust out within a couple of years, but since you are from Georgia, it'll probably take longer. There have been lots of so-so reviews on the Ansa, mainly because of its length of life. Personally, I think you should get a muffler (Brullen, Dynamax, Borla, Magnaflow, etc...) and get a shop to custom fab some pipes for you. It'll be cheaper and get the same effect.

for $400, you can have a quality custom cat back that sounds how you want it and probably performs just as well

                              just a thought
