(emi325) we checked the harness as you suggested and still doing the problem.

(monticello) the car is not stalling any longer it just gives off a jolt like it's about to turn off and it keeps runing, once we turn on the a/c it iddles down some and it'll hick-up and the instrument panel goes wacko now? what gives...

do you have to let the car cool down before it will restart? or can you be doing 60 mph and when it stalls quick turn the key off and restart the car without ever stopping?

check the injector harness. if it has a twist-lock connector (the m20's do), it might be loose.

Well, I think most of you guys maybe right, but the symptoms continue and now it won't shut off all the way, it will just iddle down like it's about to turn off and the check engine light will go on. maybe I misinformed you guys or george graves maybe right, could it be the ECU? I

I'll replace both of these things and post back later

Thanx for all the quick responses.

If the whole car is shutting off I would look at the main relay and fuel pump relay - they're under the black cover on the driver's side next to the AFM. the one towards the front is the main relay, the one in the middle is for the fuel pump. you can swap the FP relay with the one on the back (which is for the O2 sensor) and see if the problem goes away. the main relay is wired a little different though.
