    Dude I think thats the full 286 euro version! Not the choked 256 US version judging by the "///M" badge (US versions had ///M6), the bumpers and the valve cover *US versions didnt have the Roundel on it). Fucking awesome. Shame on the color though. Although in the sun and fully detailed it might look really nice.

      yes i was going to say M635 as well. good car! if the guy is really selling for cheap (3k or less) then you can almost make that back in selling just the BBS RS's!

        The seats and door cards are covered with buffalo hide.

        Neat car. Whatever you do, don't part it out. It looks like a great car.

            like eric said, those are real RS BBS wheels, not the metric things. the wheels alone are worth 1500 dollars.

              Thanks for the links and the advice everyone. This has the 286Hp M88 in it (non-cat). The dude knows what it's worth, so he wants more that 3k for it... It would be a situation where I would have to get a loan, but not for too much.

              It is in really solid shape, so it would be a car to restore and not part out. I'm going to go by again and try to get some more pics. I'll try and start it too.

                    US got the M88/3? I think the reason that the US versions didn't have the roundel on them was because they were S38's (which never had roundels on their valve covers in the first place.) IIRC, the only motor in the US-bound M6's was the S38 which had a cat.

                    OP: Not sure what you planned on spending for this thing, but ~$3000 doesn't sound terribly high for a running non-cat M88 M635CSi. If you ever do reconsider parting out, let me know, my father's E34 M5 could use that brass synchro'd G280/5. ;)

                      This one came in from Germany through a military guy.. Hence the euro M88 (the 286Hp One). If the guy just wanted 3k for it, I'd be showing everyone pics of my new car!! His asking price isn't too far off of what I'm starting to think the car is really worth (thanks to all the post/ links). It does have the dogleg tranny too!!

                        AFAIK the M635 never came with the dogleg...

                        Also, I would be willing to bet that those wheels are metric. :(

                          Buy it up man, they're getting increasingly rare, and increasingly valuable, and at 3K it's a steal. You'll be very lucky if you see one anywhere near that price range again. I'll put some pics of my fathers M635csi so you can see it's the exact same car without conflicting information.

                              That is the M88/3 engine (like TDE30 mentioned) which utilizes the single row timing chain. If not serviced between 75-100K, they have a tendency to snap, destroying a lot of expensive cylinder head along with it. In fact, many owners convert them to the dual-row (which is considered to last slightly longer).

                              Do you know the mileage of the car and/or engine? It might be a good idea to get a leakdown and compression test to ensure the condition of the motor, before you start throwing loads of money at it. Also check this thread out in regards to the timing chain. User "Rich Euro M5" is the resident expert over there, and has had his '85 Euro M5 apart for about 3 years (give or take) to do a full rebuild on the engine.



                              Like Kway also said, that buffalo leather interior doesn't look that bad, and is pretty damn rare, especially with the sport seats! The color looks to be polaris silver as well, am i right? :)
