back in the office........fugh, its saturday morning and Im at it again. Thanks for the responses. If I had to buy camber plates and new rear bushings I was going to put it off for a while. The price of shocks is crazy, but if its just springs and shocks I think I can swing that on a budget.

I bought some h&r sports and billie sports as a package from TMS. I think they have one of the best package deals if your're in the market for those.

seriously though, if you're going to say don't use offset CABs because it messes with suspension geometry - you should also say don't lower your car, put stiffer springs on it, camber/caster plates, wider tires with lower offset wheels, etc. etc. because ALL of these things affect the suspension geometry, and in most cases for E30s it's not in a positive manner. But we still do it anyway because the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.
Everything is a trade I didn't say dont use them I said there is more to it than just swapping them out.

By all means if you need more caster that's the way to do it, however at the very least move the rack forward into the front bosses. It's the steering geometry that goes off kilter (reduces T.O.O.T.) and it drags the inside or pushes the outside wheel in turns ...really slows things down and effs up the tires.

The only real advantage of this is the steering recovers much faster. This is great on a short track. For long tracks we used to set them up with less + caster to keep the fenders down low at speed in turns.

I don't know about the ix though...different problems different solutions with AWD.
