    Forrest Gump is an ebayer

    Bought a set of smileys off ebay U.K. for the paltry sum of 21 pounds,($42)of course shipping was ridiculous. ($120)But $162 is still a pretty good price for smilies.

    Aside from getting hosed on the shipping charges,which was probably closer to $60,the idiot sends two packages in the equivalent of a paper bag with one layer of tiny bubbles.Naturally the packages arrive with things broken inside.In one package only part of the headlight bucket gets cracked,not the case with the second package.

    So far, after three e mails the seller still hasn't responded.Paypal was used to pay for the lights,so I do have options.But if I get stuck with the headlights,I have enough spare parts to repair the damage.Here's a pic of the damage and the wrapper the lights came in.

    That's really shitty for the seller to ship it like that.

      Wow.

      People are so stupid.

      I got a bluetooth headset from Hong Kong in a regular envelope. It was in worse condition when it arrived.

      PayPal should side with you (eventually)

      Good luck

          That sucks.

          I've noticed a trend of poor packaging quality from UK ebayers...maybe they think all the postal workers are like Postman Pat (with his black and white cat).

                  I bet you the headlights were broken initially, before he even sent them out. Ive pulled a scam like that with a friend... sent a broken item to him, insured it for what it was worth, got the money from insurance. He knew what was going on though. But thats fucked for the seller to do that to you.

                    The Paypal transaction page shows the headlights were insured,but after sending 3 emails,the sender has not replied.When I opened the second package,literally 100s of glass fragments fell on the floor,so it was probably damaged in transit.

                    I didn't want to call him a dumb ass,but in my first email I asked him how could he ship something as fragile as headlights in a paper bag.The irony is he gave me two positive feedbacks right after I paid for the headlights,which were part of two separate auctions.

                      Just a quick update on the broken headlight situation;
                      After filing a dispute with ebay,the seller apologized and issued me a full refund ,with the option of keeping the damaged headlight .Which will be repaired at no extra cost to me.A rare ebay happy ending.

                        So they gave you all your money back and will pay for new lenses. that means you will get free smileys right?

                            Well the right side is free,and with the spare parts I already have,I can replace the broken lens.So,I pretty much bought a set of smileys for $81 shipped.
