These men asked me to buy speakers and i said no...later they had a very attractive woman ask me to buy speakers and if I did I would be very grateful...I said how is that and she said let me show you...she took me around the side of a burger king building and gave me a blow job just to buy 2 speakers...I couldnt resist and bought 2 speakers after she sucked me off....scam or no scam I was pretty satisfied.

This scam has been around for at least 20 years, maybe longer. I first encountered a pair of these guys selling speakers out of a white van in the mid-80's.

If you'd like to get involved, try what I did last summer when I was approached while filling up at a local gas station...
As I was filling my car today someone drove up in a white expedition offering home theater speakers for cheap and he was on the way back to the store. I said no, and he drove off into the neighboring strip mall.

I filled up, turn into it, see him coming back my way and then turn into the part of the lot to talk up someone else. I had my camera ready, shot his plate and drove off. Called the police, reported it with his plate and location.

Hopefully a cruiser showed up. He circled out and back into the strip mall as I was going away.

Also, happened to me 4 years ago or so, didn't know any better and actually talked to them. Then just said goodbye and left.

I haven't run into the speakers scam.. around here is all about mobile auto body guys. They cruise parking lots in like beat down buicks and point out dents in your car-try and hard sell you to let them fix them. I always say no, but it's hilarious hearing the guy's pitch from the drivers seat while you're looking at his side mirror that's held on with drywall screws and is painted in semi-matching spray paint. The said thing is that if these scams still exist-people are falling for it.

I was pulling into the Brewhouse to watch the US vs England yesterday and a guy in a black f150 on dubs tried to sell me a "sweet surround sound for my crib" I just looked at him and laughed. No more white vans in Atlanta.... beware, they are adapting.

I saw that scam on Dateline. I didn't think that it really existed until someone approached me last year while I was in the Home Depot parking lot. I was approached by 2 guys in a late 80's G-body car(could have been an olds or a buick) that had 2-tone primer spots and a mis-matched fender.

The passenger got out and started walking around the car saying "duuuuude I can fix this.. and bump out that and repaint this" claiming he could make my E30 look brand new within an hour. And the whole time the driver shaking his head and saying, "Yeah! Amazing! Cool! Wow! Awesome!" By the time I got out of the store, they had found themselves a sucker.

Dang, no wonder people wouldn't buy anything from me when I had my white cargo van.

The free candy sticker got a lot of chicks though.
