I have a full leather interior that I may need to ship. What is the best way to send something huge like that?

there was a thread on that not long ago...... I think it was TJ's need to ship the plastic bumpers he had.
Some freight company would be ideal as UPS/Fedex probably wouldnt take itErick Mahle | FullOpp Drift | YouTube

Greyhound is vastly cheaper from my experience. Got a bolt-in cage that way. it was $116 compared to $400-$1,000 from freight companies... and it took only 2 days to ship.'89 325i track sloot

fold the seats flat, remove the headrest and put them in bicycle boxes. shrink wrap the rear seats cushions together and send the whole mess fedex ground. its cheaper than you think if packed this way.Comment

I've shipped 2 sets of seats with Greyhound. Once from Utah to upstate NY for $110 and the other was a set I shipped to GA for $90.
This was a few years ago, so I'm sure the shipping prices have gone up with increased fuel costs.

I just bought a set of sport seats and the PO shipped them from Portland to me in SE Michigan via Greyhound. He inverted one seat, and put the two seats together in a single big U-Haul coat shipping box with headrests off and everything in bubble wrap. Box weighed something close to 100lbs! Cost $80 IIRC and took a week. They came undamaged and I've got them in the car already..

if u know someone who has a company and ships through Saia or ABF, u can get some really good rates on pallets. Otherwise they have this raping 1 time shipment charge.Comment
