We're mostly stupid fucking americans here. We don't know how to convert to liters and kilometers. We piss away millions of dollars on failed mars landers because we can't convert to the correct fucking units.

could be your injector temp sensor, or a thermostat. Either of those will make the car run rich all the time. thus shittier gas mileage

Short trips will hurt gas mileage, too.

Most of it is freeway driving and I'm pretty gentle on the car.

I get 8.6l/100km. I have a chip, run 91 and drive the hell out of the car, but afterwards I drive a lot of freeway miles.

that's okay, liters/100km is pretty much the most worthless fuel economy metric I can think of. It works great to compare between cars, but how do you work with it every day (without using a calculator)? if you get 7.56 liters per 100km, how many km can you drive on 1 liter? how many KM can you drive if you have a 44 liter tank? if gas is $1.40 a liter, approximately how much does it cost to drive 1km at 7.56l/100km? you practically need a spreadsheet to figure that out.

switch it the other way around. If I get 20miles/gallon, I can drive... 20 miles on one gallon (40 miles if I'm at the reserve light). Shell 92 is $4.55 a gallon. it costs me approximately 22.5 cents per mile to drive my car. I have a 16 gallon tank, so I can drive 320 miles on one fill up. a 5 year old can work with those concepts.

clean the O2 sensor with OVEN CLEANER!
                              it really does work.
i called BS until my friend that works at a 'vette tuning shop confirmed it. still called BS then my roommate did it. holy crap it worked!
our friend with a twin turbo LS-1 firebird has been doing it for years! hew is still using the original O2's that came with the car when he bought it, he just keeps cleaning them!
