Nice 911 shots, the Turner cars blah. I can drive to shop and see them. I just don't like the E46 all that much.Comment

I was walking right by when it happened, so I saw it take place from about 80 feet. We weren't expecting it at all, I am still trying to collect what happened. I was happy until the car was engulfed in flames. Not even the safety crew was ready. When the car went up in flames, they didnt even go after "Jr." He ended up getting himself out after 15 seconds of fire in his face. The safety crew was proly not expecting a driver to spin out on a slight turn on a practice lap 3 hours before the actual race.
"jr." is an idiot. NASCAR guys should stay where they are. Next Jeff Gordon will want to race in the U.S. Grand Prix to challenge Shumacher. Same thing goes with LPGA players competing in PGA Tour events. Sorry just had to vent, because all I heard on the radio leading up to the race is how "jr." and his american muscle will take on European engineering. He raced about 2/3rds of 1 practice lap today.Comment

Please learn about a driver before you flame him ok? Gordan was an open wheel racer and is very good. He went to Nascar because that is the progression in American Motorsports.Originally posted by e30sam

What is wrong with competion? ALM is full of American muscle, Panoz, Corvette Saleen, Vipers. Oh Lola Judds. Think man... DE Jr is good at Nascar why fault him? He's trying to take DEI to new heights and branch out. Borris said was his teammate too correct?Comment

Oh I watched it alright......from Turn 2. I saw the Earnhart crash during the morning practice from a distance. Pretty scary stuff 'cause the flames from the fuel burning got intense. Luckily he got out with just 2nd degree burns. From the looks of it, someone could've been cooked alive in that Vette.Originally posted by M-technik-3No one watched the ALM series today?

Jeff Gordon even tested with Williams BMW, so that goes to show that lots of Nascar drivers can actually drive.
Hmmm...American drivers can race in CART which is going bankrupt, or something close to that effect, or make millions racing in nascar. I'm sure the drivers aren't thrilled about left turns all the time, but when the money is good, the bitching is kept at a minimum.

I'm not a fan of NASCAR, I don't generally watch it (I do watch the Daytona 500 w/ my father in law), but anyone who tries to tell you that NASCAR drivers can't drive are fucking morons. Sure, they may only turn left the whole race, but NASCAR is not just raced on oval tracks, and a lot of drivers don't do NASCAR exclusively.Originally posted by MattE30Jeff Gordon even tested with Williams BMW, so that goes to show that lots of Nascar drivers can actually drive.Comment

And Nascar recruits roadies for the TWO times a year they make right turns at Sears Point and Watkins Glen.
If Borris Said is comfy with him as a co-driver, I know I would.Comment

I watched on Sunday. Missed the crash though cause i was debadging a friend's E46 for him, dumbass couldnt do it himself.
I love the ALMS. Most exciting and most fun racing to watch.
Anyone see the poor Lambo's Oil fire? It wasn't a "huge" deal, but sucks for them. At this rate, they'll never get their foot in the door.
