    IBM, where to find.

are IBMs sold in stores, or can you only buy them online? I went to Comp USA today and they didnt have them. They only had Mac, toshiba, sony vaio, HP/Compaq. Btw, are the sony vaios worth a shit?

I have a VAIO laptop. As a rule I don't buy SONY products but laptops with 12-inch screens are hard to find now. I ended up getting a 505 series and I'm happy.

Can’t help you with the IBM.

    Good luck,

    Spencer

Vaios are great unless they fail, Sony customer service is a joke. I had a Sony DTV reciever that was bad out of the box, I got it new from an "authirized" seller on eBay (Sony acknowledged they were authorized), that was not the problem it was their procedure to make you wait for a call tag to send it back to them and the process to get the call tag was lengthy & a hassle.

I have a 1998 Vaio laptop that is running fine and another one from about '96 that has had minor problems (dead cdrom) which I had the same hassle getting replaced.

I have an Athlon XP2800 media center PC system that has been a joy.
