I didn't know it was a PepBoys product. I never go places like that so I don't even know the cheap brands!

Emre, I like the way that Monte Carlo looks, but like others here, I HATE that my gauges are obstructed. Although part of it right now is the Sparco seat thats about to go on sale, so not being as high when I get the new interior in may not make it as bad.

Right now with my seat/wheel combination, I can't see the Tach until 6500 RPM.

Call me old school but I'm thinking about takling a recover of the Mtech 1 wheel in my car. I think with a suede re-cover, a new M emblem, and a carbon roundel (if I can find one) in the center would be PERFECT.

OK since there are a few with aftermarket wheels in here......Who has weighed the stock wheel (whichever type) and then weighed and compared that to an aftermarket wheel/hub?

The small diameter M tech 1 is the perfect wheel in my opinion. The diameter is perfect. You have a clear view of the guages and you lose the bus driver feel of the standard wheel.

Edit: Just saw that you dont like the M tech 1.. I'll get pictures of Mitch's Alpina wheel that is living in my car. That wheel is excellent, just blocks the view of the guages a bit.

I'm , i would want the small and uber rare mtech 1 wheel.

But this is a very good size. I have one on my vdub (would consider selling on the cheap to pay for repairs)

So the left one is stock in which model? And right is mtech 1, right? I got ugly stock 3 spoke wheel and feels like a damn bus steering wheel. How much smaller is the mtech 1?

They are both M tech 1's. The one on the left is stock in all sport (is/es) models and M3's. The one on the right is the rare small diameter 370mm (iirc) version of the same wheel. Supposedly came on some later production E30 M3's and E28 M5's as well as early production E34 M5's, but I havent confirmed that. Mine has a build date of 4/89.
