I also get a lot of people ... getting really annoyed if I pass them on the interstate

that happens to me ALL THE TIME since i got to AZ.

cruise at 80 in fast lane, come up on car doing 70-75.
wait a few seconds to see if they'll pull to the right.
they don't.
wait for opening and pass on right.
find opening and accelerate in 5th.
drop to 4th because asshole has sped up to block me.
pull into fast lane again.
continue at 80, with asshole tailgating me.
[optional: hock loogie out sunroof.]

it's like people see a red bmw and think "that guy must be a prick so i'll be one too".

I really hate whenever you're turning onto a 4 or 6 lane, and then you get some a-hole in front of you doing like 45 in a 55 in the fast lane. I'm usually doing like 65 *cough* or more *cough*. So I'll pass them, on the right, and then blow by them because by now they're trying to keep up. Then they try to tailgate me for a while, usually causing me to change lanes and slow down to match traffic.

Damn, I just want to cruise in my car, and I don't try to be an ahole about it. I guess it is the BMW sterotype. Oh well...

I love the guys who try to be heros and lecture you or wave you down. I had a guy follow me around once in a blue silverado...when I stopped (I was tired of driving around aimlessy to aggrevate him) he walks over and starts talking all bad trying to scare me. I figured- no uniform, no lights, no cruiser-I'm set. My brother and I were complete dicks, and he ended up just walking back to his truck.


A handfull of change outta the sunroof always works on those people who decide to get 'revenge' by tailgating you ;)

A friend of my Dad's used to have a Porsche 935 (no typo 935). He had a 1-gallon tank of kerosene that would inject into the exhaust with the flip of a swich... instant smoke screen.

I think its kinda funny actuly. I used to drive an MK1 rabbit GTi black 2 door. I would aways get pulled over for nothing so I got smart and bought an MK2 Jetta 16V. Nice fast car but such a sleeper. White 4-door I had the car for a year and never once got pulled over. Now I buy my 325is its a black two door and I am still driving the same way I have been and I'v been pulled over twice since i'v have had the car.... like 3 weeks and my Bimmer is totaly bone stock right now

Nice as shit! To be honest, you should have kept it and not gotten an E30. Thats one of the cleanest Jetta's I've ever seen.

And what kind of wheels are those, and where can I get them?

I had the car on KW coilovers and the wheels were FK 17x8's 225/35zr17. They were tucked . The car was awsome but I really couldnt be more happy with the BMW. You can only make a Jetta so nice its still a Jetta. I plan on making the BMW even more of a Euro baller machine. KW coils and Super sprint exhaust are on their way already. ;)

In my black E30 i brake test everyone that gets on my ass and when i hit the brakes i dont tap nor do i let up. i keep it down for ATLEAST 6 seconds coming to an almost complete stop.

for instance yea this happened once to me.

I was driving a friend home i was being blinded by some headlights i look behind me there is a riced out Acura Legend so i go around the corner damn i cant even see his lights, i was red faced angry so i jammed on my brakes to a full stop. the guy was quick with the pedals because i have no idea how he didnt rear end me.

I am just waiting for that one day for somone to tailgate me and rear end me just because of that. Following to close that is.

I think we are all dumber for having read that.

Seriously, that has to be one of the stupidest things I have ever read, do you have down's? Do you understand what a "brake check" is? You lightly get on the brakes, enough to flip the lights on, to scare the guy. You don't come to a stop so he rear ends you. You would be at fault if he rear ends you on an otherwise empty road if you just decided to slam your brakes like a jackass. Legislation exists for that very occurence, primarliy to combat insurance fraud.

brake checking MF's. I hate people.

I find it endlessly entertaining when I am driving the e36 M3 around, and people try to brake test me in their Camry's or Accords etc.

Do they realize the brakes on the e36 M3 are larger then their wheels?

Shit people these days do not even know how to brake test. They just tap their brakes lightly for a few seconds then resume at speed.

In my e30 (with non-functioning ABS) I can lock up all 4 wheels @80MPH and watch the moron behind me flip out over the billowing smoke and try to do a last second lane change. This is how you brake test someone.

if you a riding someones ass and they slam on their brakes it doesnt matter how big your brakes are...... how long does it take you to apply those brakes is what matters... people dont need to think that because they have HUGE brakes they can tailgate. It takes just as long for them to apply their brakes as it does a 1985 chevy astro.
