Wel I have only driven the 1 a few times since I picked it up. It has been raining here non-stop and the 1 is my nice weather only DD. But so far so good. It feels perfect, very comfy seating position but it still holds you firm in the seat. Handeling, braking and acceleration are incredable. When I test drove it before I got it I tested an 335i coupe back to back with it(got out of the 335i and got right into the 135i). The 135 dominated it in all areas. The 335 felt like a boat and I did NOT like the leather in the 335. IMHO opinion if you are looking for a sporty car get the 135, if you are looking for a kinda fast lux cruiser get the 335. Only thing I have found that I dont like is the seatbelt gong. Loud, annoying, and distracting.

also keep in mind that other than the z8 that had an M motor the 135i is the fastest non-M car ever. Not to mention that its faster than the e46 m3.

as for as the seatbelt thing. I think I may just buy a spare buckle for the driver side. I read the book and you can turn the passenger side off(Thank you BMW).

Sweet, that's what I wanted to hear. I must wait a year until I get out of school, but it will happen. I think I'll try to find a used (not abused?) one.

Any premature comparisons to your e30?

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

go to the dealer and have the CKM reprogrammed.( car key memory) should only cost about 30-50 dollars and you can have a ton of things set up to your liking!
everything else is just a bunch of bull

I will bet you that you will need a set of front tires before the end of the summer if you drive it at all!! 1er hahahhahahahaaa!!!!!-- but they are fun to drive -- the 130i is also a great time

e82 is better in all respects than my e30s52... but the e30 is a lot more raw.

This may fit, I know they seem to fit almost everything else. But its only useful to fix the problem of putting stuff on your passenger seat.
                    Neat and simple solution!

I would follow the noise, most likely its under the steering wheel like 75% of all bimmers. Just cut the wires to the speaker. You will still have a seat belt light (if equipped) But no annoying gong. Ive done this on a e60.
                    Read the thread?

I hope you don't want to bypass the seatbelt gong because you don't like wearing a seatbelt when you drive...
                    passenger side is the problem...
