well couldnt she have pulled it out of gear then pulled up as hard she could on the parking brake as im sure the car was not going that fast. Yes very bad for transmission and not good for the parking brake but atleast the car would have stopped or slowed down a bit more. :)

What? If he was parked if front of the curb as it sounds, there would have been a split second between when the engine sparked and the car was over the curb.

Ya I was like right on the curb. Just enough so that it didn't hit.

I just went and looked at it. I can see THREW my pan. Hole from when it hit,hole from when it was towed back over. It was a sad sight. There was oil all over the place. I think I could see the pump too.

Jon325i tore two big holes in his oil pan. After cleaning everything up, he was up and running the next day thanks to the magic of JB Weld.

hahaha this totally reminds me of this time i let this girl an old friend of mine, no longer friends with her for good reason other then this but anyrate i let her sit in the drivers seat and without my permission puts it into gear and takes off. I hear the car, in a bad way very bad way, this young sprite doesnt even know how to shift when she finally came back and when i was done yelling at her i was like ok now did you watch the rev limiter her exact words "whats a rev limiter?" uhh that tach "wait whats a tach" yeaaaa that sums it all up. Took it past redline. Car has never operated like it used to kinda sounds different and such. :evil:

Not to mention my transmission is fucked and i have pretty much lost reverse like i have to slam it into the shifter console moving it 2 inchs forward (toward windshield) to get it into revers the first gear is about the same way.
