It clearly looks like it has blue, green, gold (maybe my monitor as well) metal flake in the paint, and does look brown. Looks a lot like a mid 90's paint from a Honda Accord. Their work clearly SUCKS TOO... But as I said I think you are going to have a huge uphill climb since you did not say anything regarding this and took delivery of the vehicle and loaded it up on the trailer and brought it home with you. I understand you are frustrated with them and should be too. But by doing that you will likely not get it taken care of because the color is wrong as I think those asshats are shady enough to tell you where to goto.

I would have left it with them and expressed and showed everything that was wrong with the car. I can also tell the car was NOT color sanded and buffed out as it has not orange peel but grapefruit peel in the paint. I hate to be this negative but who knows they might take car of it, but not likely. Good Luck...

With the whole not getting the same color twice is some what true and some what false. Cars coming out of the same factory but on different days being sprayed with the same paint color with the same paint code will have different shades to them. There is just no telling how the color is going to turn out.

I don't understand what you wanted, but if the job was any good of one then you shouldn't really be able to tell a huge difference. If a shop stands by their work you might be able to see a different tint to the color in certain lighting but that's it! Also some paints, like Valspar, are infamous for being horrible for color matching, but even then it can be done and has been done on my car!

..show them the imperections and dents and debree and ask them if this is the quality work they do?. dont say nuthing bout court as they will just give u the bright side of their ass cheecks on the next job. maybe offer to 5% of what the repaint should cost i dunno. ...or just torch the place and tell em to fuck off.

Picking up the car was the right thing to do.

I'd first start out by writing a letter to the owner of the shop stating your reasons of your dissatisfaction. In the letter indicate exactly what you would like as a resolution. Give them 10 days to respond and follow up with a phone call if they don't. If you don't get any kind of resolution, politely thank them for their time and then file a lawsuit for the amount of money that you are seeking.

The thing that makes this situation tough for a judge is that the shop technically stood behind their work by repainting the car. The problem is that they did such a poor job on the repaint/clear coat/color match process that you would not have paid for it if that's how it came out the first time.

The law protects consumers against fraud and failure to honor contracts and agreements but unfortunately there is no law stating that the shop has to do quality work.

Just go there in the middle of the work day, nail all doors and windows shut with them in there working, and burn the place down.

The paint job is so so, It just needs a good color sanding/polish to livin it up (assuming they really didn't put 1 coat of clear on). Lets hope they didn't paint your car a single stage paint either(which is ghey)

If I were you I would contact "The Bureau Of Automotive Repair" and tell them that the shop didn't do the work they were supposed to do. Most shops guarentee their work for at least one year. Just let them know that the shop fucked up in the beginning, then they agreed to re-paint and now its worst than ever. Believe me, the bureau will get in touch with them and try to sort things out.
