eBay knock-offs? You must have me confused with some Sportmaxx having cheapass.

I don't think I have any good pics with my Milano in there, but big tall racing seats look stupid in an E30. That's why I just sold one that costs close to $2k new. It just looked ricer to me.
who said anything about looks? They are light, high quality and different from the other options. You are right for a street car they are stupid but nobody said anything about that did they? Race cars look pretty stupid too, but I guess they're all ricers for having wings, splitters and stickers?

Never said racecars look stupid, just that racecar seats look stupid in an E30 interior. Now if you have a roll bar, no back seat, etc etc then its different than just having a stock interior with two big race seats.

Aerodynamic devices and sponsors are hardly ricer on a racecar as they serve a purpose.

Sorry, didn't mean to get everyone riled up.

holy hell! your seat was REALLY high z31maniac. I see where you're coming from now. My buddy's seat aren't that high and I think they look decent....
I think it's all in preference really. With the right color combo and stitching, I think you can make it work with some seat. Overall, yes, most aftermarket seat do look pretty goofy with a stock interior, but if there's purpose to it I don't consider it "ricer". Whether it be a show car for points or a race ready track car, it's all in preference. I respect your opinion.

Yeah I think it was because of the weird Sparco mounts, they were needlessly tall.

In the future, if the car becomes more and more dedicated. The backseat will come out, roll bar in, and some more purposeful seats would go in with some 4 pt harnesses.

Wow, those are nice. If I wanted some pimpy seats for my e30, those would be a serious consideration... but, alas my interior will only consist of a used Pro 2000 and a dash in a week...

              Thanks for posting them!

I'm rocking some "racing" seats in my e30 at the moment; pretty much just Recaro copies that meet Australian Design Rules.
Stock seats were hopeless, tilted to one side and gave me massive back pain.
I reckon they look okay except for the yellow/red stitched logo.
They do sit a touch higher than stock, but was used to having the stock comfort seats as low as they go soo... I'll eventually redo the mounts to get them to sit lower.
                Well worth it IMO.

Please ignore the dirty car....and peeling clear on teh bonnet. Pictures with flash make it worse than it is. :(

I had some a while ago. I bought them for form, kept them for function...
Died the logos black. re did the backs...
They were removed for true e30 recaros, but they're still on hold for my track car project...

                    those last ones are hot.

Btw has anyone had trouble with shitty ebay seats? like them blowing up or ejecting you from the car? or any problems?
