    And, dependent on the year, there are 4 to 5 o2 sensors as well.

                Bet you anything its one of your coils.

                Had the exact same thing happen to my 2G DSM back in the day. Although not a ford motor, but instead a Chrysler motor. I let the valve cover gasket leak a little too much. Oil got to one of the coils and it crapped out.
