what brand battery you guy have

just as the post asks what are the specs on the battery in your car? CCA and brand? I have a suspicion that the battery in my car is not meant for the e30 and it has died on me so I'm gonna buy a new one but want to get the right one.

I have a diehard international. I don't know what the CCA is, but it's never failed me - I've actually drained it flat a few times, one time I decided to just get a new (generic) one. End up taking it back because it was dead right out of the box, asked for my old battery back, took it to sears (lifetime warranty), they tested it and it was fine. charged it up and I still have it. I'd guess it's about 8-10 years old now..

I have an Optima red top, it was in the car when I bought it. Never failed me once, and even when it's below freezing out, it still cranks right over with no argument.

        optima red in the BMW
        and
        optima yellow in the 914-6
        never failed me

if you have an interstate dealer near you ask them if they have any cosmetic blems.
they usually have a decent discount on them

Group 91 Interstate IIRC. BMWs batteries are brought by the exide man. Napa, autozone, kragen, etc get their batteries from Exide also.

Interstate MTP 91 about the best one on the market outside of the OE Varta from BMW.

if you go to sears they will give you the proper fitment and cca etc. there is a sears on the deadham westroxbury line on rt1.

Big fan of Optima Reds, but my old one wouldn't fit right in the Cabrio. I ended up giving it to my mother for her Cherokee rather than letting it sit.
