I only have what I need to fulfill for a group buy in the UK and about 15 hood and trunk kits( I had + 38 the day before yesterday). So a year...nope.

The guys that are going to make a go at it are an unknown as to price ( I'm sure they will be competitive) and it will be a while before they are going anywhere.

Sorry for the hijack. Just had to throw that in. Lower the corporate tax rate to something more reasonable so that money can be put into R&D and keeping jobs here.
    Yes there is that...
And the labor cost is about 85% less...
And they can just dump the hazardouse waste in a river with impunity...
    Etc.

Let me know when you get them. I will be interested in buying after I see a couple of installed pics.

I believe he said the company that he gets the material from has moved production offshore, which to me would imply it's labor savings they're after not corporate tax breaks; so we don't need to lower corporate tax rates you need to start working for less money.

If you can get them from a US supplier I think that's the way to go, if that is a year away maybe you can source some material from mexico in the meantime.

If the guys can make it fly here I'll do whatever I can to support them ( I have a few other product ideas and I'm actually in touch with them on these also)

I'm waiting on the Mexicans to show me the goods and if I can work out a deal with them for the meantime.. I will.

But I'm very sceptical of their ability to consistently produce quality.

              Okay...

              If... and only IF...

I got ONE shipment from the old manufacturer of Chineese made seals would there be an interest in a group buy for 20 kits Hood and trunk for $47 including shipping?

I know for sure that the quality is not the same and I'd only do this once from them if I do it at all.

              Chime in here...

                Well...Mexico is out

I recived a sample from the company yesteday and the stuff is shit.

At first glance it looked just okay, the density wasnt very uniform.

But at 150 degrees F it began to sweat oily fluid and became the same consitancy as tar....
