Grassroots motorsports and occasionally sport compact car. Most, if not all of the BMW specific rags aren't fit to wipe ass, with Roundel leading the pack

My favorites are Roundel, Bimmer and European Car. If you're not a CCA member, join and Roundel is part of the membership (its not sold on newsstands)

Roundel... I get enough BMW knowledge from the forums.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

Currently its Roundel and European Car. The Roundel is ok.....a good reference for parts hunting (new & used). Once in a while an interesting article gets printed, such as the recent E30 upgrades story that appeared in the last couple of months. Some of the tid-bits in the "latest news" columns are yesterday's gossip by the time it gets to press (thanks to the Internet).

As for European Car mag, I've been getting that for years......actually my subscription started when it was still known as VW&Porsche (my my.....that was forever and a day ago). In the last few years I've seen the quality of this publication really slide. It has clearly sold its soul to the VW/Audi marketing whores. It seems every article is plugging something new.....and it has nothing to do with E30s. So, after 15 years of receiving this read I'm letting my subscription run out. The October or November issue should be the last one. About the only praise I can give to EC is its on-line tech article database. With some digging, you can get some questions answered. Thankfully, that bit of resource is free.

A magazine I have been picking up from the newsstand more often lately is Excellence, A Magazine About Porsche. Although I don't currently own anything from Stuttgart now (I have in the past), this particular mag is a great publication. The articles covering past and present models, motorsport, and club racing are without question good quality. I only wish there was a similar publication that catered to the cars from Bavaria.

BMW Car, Performance BMW, Bimmer, etc. just don't seem to make the grade IMHO.

Jon, why on earth do we agree 100% on every Porsche topic? :P

Roundel is OK. Most of the other BMW mags are full of crap; ugly body kits, huge wheels, ICE, etc. Things I don't generally care about.

Grassroots Motorsports, Racecar Engineering, and a couple of the british classic car mags are what I usually dig.

Total BMW (uk edition), BMW Car (uk edition), European Car, Bimmer, and Performance BMW (uk edition) lots of ricy cars thrown in there but there are occasionally some good ones.
