Ken can probably suggest a few things when he pops on. Apparently they are just stuck in there pretty good with some strong adhesive. I think you pretty much need to try to jam something sharp in there to break up the adhesive without damaging the pod itself.
But Ken has done it before...I'm sure he'll be on shortly. -
You will destroy the tweeter when you take it out. So just destroy it.
I ran the dremel with a cutoff bit all around the edge of the tweeter then pryed it out with a flathead. Worked great.Tenured Automotive Service Professional - Avid BMW Enthusiast

I had a hell of a time getting mine out (or at least a friend of mine did). It took him about 20 minutes to get them out. A dremel would be the easiest as there is very little room between the tweeter and the housing.Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment

You only destroy the tweeter if you pry the inside metal part. The tweeter is the entire black plastic part. Just get a flathead screwdriver and wedge it in there to break the bond around the circumference and it'll cleanly pop out."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj
